Apply for a grant to attend any dance camp in North America — but do it soon!
A Gainesville Old-time Dance Society (G.O.D.S.) educational grant for North Florida resident dancers, callers and musicians
GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR DANCERS, CALLERS & MUSICIANS
A generous grant for contra and English country dancers, callers and musicians of North Florida has been announced and you don’t want to miss! Bump up your dancing, calling, and/or playing skills to the next level and have a blast doing it at the dance camp of your choice — thanks to the generosity and foresight of the late dance angel Al Rogers.
Al believed in the power of music and dance to build community. His gift means that you could attend a dance weekend, a camp, a workshop, or another contra or ECD related activity this year.
NextGen Dance Grant
Open to dancers, callers and musicians of all ages, NextGen Dance Grants are especially intended for enthusiastic new or younger participants who wish to attend dance events but need some financial help to make it a reality.
Applicants for the NextGen Dance Grant may apply for up to $500 for dance camp fees plus up to $500 dollars in reimbursement for related travel expenses. CDSS-sponsored dance camps (like Pinewoods) will match the grant, covering the full cost of tuition and board.
CDSS camps are just one example. Find a weekend or week-long event that inspires you, and apply for funds to attend.
Application
Fill out the online application form by April 26. Grant awards will be announced at the Al Rogers Memorial Dance in Gainesville, Florida on May 5.
