We get another chance to enjoy Joe Rush’s heavenly venue Dancing Fish, and raise money for a great cause, on March 30th, 2019.
- From 2-5 pm there will be English Country Dance with “Wind that Shakes the Barley” (Bill, Sarah, and Kathie), and callers Randy Thorp, Annette Merritt, and Nikki Herbst.
- There will be a picnic break from 5-7 pm. Bring a potluck item for the dinner break.
- Contra dance with Wind That Shakes the Barley, Nikki, and JoLaine from 7-10.
Your generous donation of at least $15 for each of the two events will go to support the good work of the Country Dance and Song Society.
The next day, Sunday, March 31, is the GODS Advanced Dance at the Thelma Boltin Center from 4-7 pm. The band is Deux Francois (Bill, Sarah, Frances) and the caller is JoLaine. This dance is aimed at dancers who have attended at least three prior dances. There will be no beginner workshop, and the calling will not be catered to beginners.
The Dancing Fish is located on the west side of Melrose on Dogwood Lane. From Gainesville turn left on Dogwood Lane. Go to the end and turn left.
