Category Five and Dana Parkinson

Dana Parkinson will be calling to the music of Category Five. So get ready for some rip-snorting good music and dance!

Dana Parkinson started contra dancing in 2009 with the Tampa Friends of Old-Time Dance. Through support from her local community and inspiration from dancing at dozens of dance weekends, Dana soon found herself at a Contra Calling Workshop with Cis Hinkle. In no time at all she was calling local dances.

Dana called her first dance weekend in Gainesville, Florida in 2012 and hasn’t looked back! Based in Florida, she is known for her creative programming, sense of humor, and no-nonsense walk-throughs.

Category Five is:
• David Massey – piano
• Marietta Massey – banjo
• Kathie Aagaard – fiddle
• Sarah Mitchell – hammered dulcimer, flute, foot rhythm
