The Gadabouts are coming to town! Get your fix of old time music gone amok interspersed with zesty and beautiful cajun waltzes.
Our caller, JoLaine Jones-Pokorney will test your mettle as a contra dancer with surprising moves and patterns.
This is an advanced contra dance for experienced dancers willing to be challenged and to enhance their dance skills. In brief, ‘experienced’ means that you know contra moves without being taught. You know how to recover from a lapse, assist your partner and execute flourishes safely and on time. Advanced dances are 5th Sundays from 4-7 pm.

Schedule:
02:45 – 03:45 pm — waltz lesson (no partner necessary) or open waltz to live music with Stay Tuned waltz band
03:45 – 04:00 pm — Sound check. No workshop for beginners. This dance is intended for experienced contra dancers.
04:00 – 07:00 pm — Contra dance with The Gadabouts and caller JoLaine Jones-Pokorney.

Suggested Donation:

Dancers ages 15 & under get in FREE when accompanied by an adult.

No partner or experience is necessary. Contra dances are taught, walked through, & called.
No special dress is required. Wear comfortable, casual attire & soft-soled shoes.
Snacks at the break are provided by dancers. If you snack, bring one to share & a water bottle to help our planet.
