How to celebrate Talk Like A Pirate Day
Well mate, celebrating talk like a pirate day be as easy as a day in the tropic, you simply need to turn up your piratical vernacular, pour a few fruity drinks with umbrellas in them, and gather with friends to celebrate the day in your piratey best! Talk Like A Pirate Day is comin’, are you ready to pirate it up?

Join us for another great contra dance with calling by Cis Hinkle from Atlanta, GA, and tunes by the Red Mountain Yellowhammers from Birmingham, AL.

Cis Hinkle has delighted contra and square dancers since 1985 with her skilled teaching, welcoming manner, playful enthusiasm, and masterful selection of dances. A regular caller for Atlanta’s community dances, she also is in high demand at dance weekends across the country.

The Red Mountain Yellowhammers play good-time old-time string band music and will dip into their large repertoire of powerful contra dance medleys and driving square dance tunes. They learned many of their tunes from older fiddlers in Alabama and Tennessee, and they play in a style that reflects the region in which they live.
