Why no G.O.D.S. contra dance in April?

The third weekend of April is when The Dancing Fish in Melrose hosts Florida’s annual Wild Asparagus Weekend, attracting contra dancers from across the nation. Needless to say, this includes most Gainesville contra dancers as well.

So, rather than to invite you to a disappointingly under-attended dance on the third Friday in April, we invite you and encourage you to attend at least one of the four 3-hour contra sessions featuring the incomparable Wild Asparagus and George Marshall on April 17-19, 2016.

And although we are not hosting a dance in April, in May we will have two dances:

1. Sunday 3 May 2-5 pm: Al Rogers Memorial Dance
2. Friday 15 May 7-10 pm: Katie’s Contradiction & Jonathan King
