Kumquats at Large

June 18: Kumquats At Large & Rona Wiener

Kumquats At Large & Rona Wiener

Of the many kumquat varieties, those At Large are one of the tastiest. Five years in the making, the Kumquats At Large serve up Rich Crew (fiddle and recorder), Sarah Mitchell (penny whistle, flute, drum, foot percussion and hammered dulcimer) and Bill Dudley, guitar.

Blending dance gypsy experience with contra joy, Rona Wiener calls an engaging program for all levels of dancers. Rona's enthusiasm for the dance embraces teaching workshops for a thriving contra community.

May 31: John Rogers calls advanced contra with Kumquats at Large

Following the Folk Festival with more homegrown delights, Kumquats at Large promises to turn a languid Sunday afternoon into a Hoppin' John of a dance occasion. Advanced dancing in air-conditioned comfort!

Our caller, John Rogers, savored the sweetness of "finding a dance form that hollered out instructions while you were doing it. It was like having on-board navigation." Any comments on his dance navigation are welcome!
