Saturday March 21: The Dunehoppers with Alice Milmoe

The Dunehoppers

Saint Augustine jumps with history - from it's Spanish founding to an early winter retreat to modern times as the home of the famed and esteemed Dunehoppers. With award wining fiddling and equally engaging rhythm, percussion and even more strings, their melodic contra will keep you on your feet.

On your feet, says Alice from Apopka, with an encore performance in the callers spot, and a retinue of different dances. Ms. Milmoe's calling lineage boasts history of it's own.

The Dunehoppers hail from Jacksonville. They are:
* Mac Bedford - banjo
* Kathy Zemanek - banjo & bass
* Bob Parsons - mandolin, fiddle & bass
* Mike Elias - guitar
* Allen Hood - fiddle

Do join us-all from 7:00 to 10:00 for a Contra Dance. New dancers, and those wishing to review their dance moves or help others to do so, please do attend at a Contra lesson from 6:30-7:00. And, before that is our enchanting social waltz at 5:45-6:30 pm. All for one low admission. Dancers 25 and under pay only $5.00 / $10.00 otherwise.

No partner or experience is necessary. The dance is at the Thelma Boltin Center, 16 NE 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601. If you snack, bring one to share and a water bottle to help our planet. A babysitter is available at no extra charge. Parking is in the lot across the street and in marked spaces on adjacent streets. Contra on!
