Nov 5: John Rogers & The MacRowdies

John Rogers & The MacRowdies

John Rogers will be calling the contra dances to the music of North Carolina-based The MacRowdies on Sunday.

The MacRowdies are:
• Mara Shea on fiddle
• Pete Campbell on keyboard

Mara Shea and Pete Campbell are The MacRowdies, a band that plays Scottish, English, and contra dances. Pete lives in Greensboro, NC, and is also an essential part of other bands, including Footloose. Mara lives in Raleigh, NC, and is half of The Elftones duo, with Roger Gold, and Copious Notes, with Julie Gorka. Pete and Mara both love playing music for dancers, and just plain having fun with the music!
