SeptembARRRRR 17th be the day n’ th’ hour to come to th’ dance dressed like a scurvy pirate! We gunna kick up our heels ’n make merry like the swashbucklers we be! ’Tis a tradition!

International Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19. Dressing like a scurvy pirate at the dance is optional.

Jane Ewing from Alabama will be calling the contra dances to the music of Deux Francois on Saturday.

Deux Francois are:
• Jasmine Hart - bass
• Sarah Mitchell - flute, penny whistle, percussion
• Frances Pisacane - fiddle
• Bill Dudley - guitar
• John McEwen - percussion, guitar, mandolin

Schedule:
• 05:45 - 06:30pm --- waltz lesson (no partner necessary), or open waltz to live music with Stay Tuned waltz band
• 06:30 - 07:00pm --- Contra workshop for beginners (new contra dancers & those wishing to review their dance moves or help others to do so, please attend this pre-dance contra lesson.)
• 07:00 - 10:00pm --- Contra dance with Jane Ewing & Deux Francois
• ~10:15pm --- After-dance party hosted by Alex Funk

Suggested Donation:
• $10 (age 26+)
• $5 (age 16-25)
• Dancers age 15 & under get in FREE when accompanied by an adult.

No partner or experience is necessary.

Snacks at the break are provided by dancers. If you snack, bring one to share & a water bottle to help our planet.
